A 32-year-old Albertville man was sentenced to a year in jail earlier this month after officials determined he had failed to maintain his registration on the state sex offender’s list.
Anthony Joseph Bartell was sentenced March 4 for Failure to Register as a Sex Offender to one year in jail. Bartell was also convicted and sentenced for Probation Violations for Gross Misdemeanor Second Degree DWI to 365 days jail, to be served concurrent to the failing to register sentecing. Bartell was sentenced by Judge Michele Davis.

Jacklyn Suzanne Fournier, 31, of Elk River, sentenced on March 3 for Misdemeanor Assault in the Fifth Degree to 90 days jail, $50 fine; 89 days stayed for one year on conditions of probation, serve 1 day jail, pay $50 fine plus surcharges, complete an anger management program and follow all recommendations, complete 40 hours community service, have no same or similar violations. Roger Lloyd Freeberg, 74, of Buffalo, sentenced Feb. 24 for Felony Assault in the Second Degree to a stay of execution for seven years on conditions of probation, serve 365 days jail, pay $1,000 fine plus surcharges, undergo chemical dependency treatment and follow all recommendations, have no use or possession of alcohol or non-prescription drugs, submit to random testing, have no use or possession of firearms or dangerous weapons, provide DNA sample, obtain permission before leaving the state, undergo counseling and follow all recommendations, have no same or similar violations.
