A Monticello teen was injured in a single-vehicle snowmobile crash early Monday as people were headed on commutes to work and school.
The incident, according to Wright County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Capt. Todd Hoffman, took place around 7:30 a.m. near County Road 19, just east of the Kaleidoscope Charter School.
According to a report filed by deputies on scene, Alex Praught, 16, Monticello, was riding a Polaris 600XCR when his sled struck a mailbox as it crossed the county road near 67th Street Northeast. Praught was knocked off the sled in the collision
Praught, who was wearing his helmet, was transported by Allina Ambulance to Mercy Hospital for a possible broken arm and his condition is unknown at this time.
