Funeral arrangements have been made for the 19-year-old son of a former Albertville legislator and Rep. Tom Emmer’s Chief of Staff.
Davon FitzSimmons, 19, the son of David FitzSimmons of Albertville, died suddenly this week.

On June 4, 2017, Davon Paul FitzSimmons left this earth. Davon touched the lives of so many people in his 19 years. Davon will be missed terribly by all who knew him. Davon enjoyed traveling with his dad, spending time with his family and friends, music, writing, wrestling, weight lifting, movies, and spending time with his younger cousins.
Davon is survived by his father David FitzSimmons; grandparents Pat & Marie FitzSimmons; grandmother Susan (Bill) Lawrence; great grandfather Robert Walters, aunts and uncles Brandy Stephens, Angela Schrupp, Katie (Chris) Luoto, Jeff FitzSimmons, Paul (Taryn) FitzSimmons, Kim (Steven) Schmitt, and eleven cousins.
He is preceded in death by his brother Javon Stephens, mother Shelly Stephens, grandfather Wayne Stephens and great grandparents Robert and Bonita “Bonnie” FitzSimmons, Laura Walters, and Robert and Gloria Snyder.
The wake for Davon will be held from 4 to 7 p.m Friday, June 9th, with funeral services at 1 p.m. onSaturday, June 10. Viewing begins at noon. Both the wake and funeral will be held at New Life Assembly of God Church in Cokato.
